Final Exam Today

As you know, the final exam is today, Thursday, December 18. It will be available on E-Learning until 7:00 p.m.
Several students have already noticed there was a formatting problem with one question, such that the correct answer was already indicated, and you are not able to select an answer. It’s an unfortunate error on our part, but the good news is that you will all receive credit for that question.
If you encounter any technical problems, please call the UF Computing Help Desk (392-HELP). You can also leave a comment here on the blog — we’ll monitor it throughout the day.
Good luck!

I started my exam at 7:00am this morning. Half way through as I was saving my answers, the screen froze and a message from E-Learning came up saying that the website was over-crowded. I couldn’t complete my exam or save any more answers. So, this afternoon at 4:15pm, I tried to log back on to continue testing but my time had “expired.” I did submit the test but I want to make sure that I can still get credit for all my answers.
I had a formatting error on question #15 on my exam. It wouldn’t let me select C or D. It was a question about the lecture on race. The answers were about hypertension and race, tobacco and race, perhaps about where they live? The answer I wanted was C about tobacco. Also, half way through the test the right sidebar wouldn’t allow me to see anything. It looked as if I didn’t have internet connection although I had perfect wireless connection and I was on the internet during the test. I kept refreshing the page, but nothing changed. I couldn’t see which questions I had answered or saved, or how much time I had left. It was a hassle that wasted a lot of time, but I wrote down the questions I wasn’t sure about and went back answered. I finished the test with 10 minutes to spare and clicked SAVE ALL plenty of times. I clicked FINISH about 2 minutes before my time was up, but never got the screen I normally do that says it was submitted. I know I had all the answers I wanted with plenty of time before the 50 minutes were over. I just wanted to make sure that all my answers were correctly submitted and that I get credit for #15 which I’m confident the answer is C. Thank you =]
One of the questions on the exam was about a recent cure for HIV/AIDS. The system says that in recent news the cure was linked to stem cells. I thought the answer was a bone marrow transplant as shown by this article from Time and other credible news sources: http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1858843,00.html
I am so sad this course is over!
I missed 7 questions and one of those is the one with the asterisk, in which I was told that everyone would get credit for that; however, the points were still taken off and I did not receive any points for that credit.
Also, the question about the new HIV cure, I thought the answer was bone marrow transplant because it was what showed during the lecture; but the key showed that it was stem-cell transplant, so I don’t know if there is an error here.
I hope that this would be clarify soon.
Thank you
I saw in the blog left by Dr. Gravlee that he was going to give us credit for the race becomes biology question since it could not be answered correctly..He has not added the points into the exam grade yet, right? Just make sure as I see 0/1 for that specific question. Thanks!
